Artist's Description
A flypast or flyover with the retired Swedish fighter J35 Draken over the taxing Danish F16 Falcon at the Swedish Airforces showday at Uppsala Garnison 08/25/2018. The Draken functioned as an effective supersonic fighter aircraft of the Cold War period. By the 1980s, the SAF's Drakens had largely been replaced by the more advanced Saab 37 Viggen fighter, while the introduction of the more capable Saab JAS 39 Gripen were delayed. Finely retired in December 1999.
